- Corrected wording
- The tracker now uses the disclosed annual CapEx figures of $0.974B for AMD and $1.192B for Qualcomm, producing commitment-to-CapEx indicators of 12.5x and 12.7x.
- Reason
- Rounded approximations were replaced with the exact annual CapEx figures disclosed in the cited annual reports.
Amkor CHIPS award finalization
- Original wording
- Amkor’s Arizona advanced-packaging project was supported by up to $400 million of U.S. CHIPS funding and was expected to cost about $2 billion.
- Corrected wording
- The U.S. Department of Commerce awarded Amkor up to $407 million in direct CHIPS funding for an approximately $2 billion advanced-packaging and test facility in Peoria, Arizona.
- Reason
- The July 2024 preliminary terms were replaced with the Department of Commerce’s final award, which raised the capped direct-funding amount to $407 million and finalized the award status.
